Mr Shane Murray BVMS MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Owner of the Practice - Shane qualified from Glasgow University as a vet in 1997. He opened the doors of Braemar Veterinary Clinic in September 2005. He has practiced in England and Australia and thoroughly enjoys the thrills and challenges that come with running a veterinary practice. In his spare time, of which he doesn't have much,due to the new arrival of gorgeous daughter Emily-Jane, he takes pleasure in the odd game of golf, reading, and jogging. He has two cats, Sooty and Sue, who sometimes take over running-the-practice duties.

 

 

 Mrs Kate Fitzpatrick BVM&S MRCVS

 Veterinary surgeon
Kate graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in Edinburgh in 1999 and came straight over to work in mixed practice in Northern Ireland. Kate is married to Justin, and mum to Ella,8. She has 2 cats, Baggy and Monkey. In her spare time Kate likes to go to the gym, socialise, and do plenty of shopping !
 

Miss Clare Brankin BVetMed MRCVS

Veterinary surgeon

Full-time Vet - Clare qualified in 2005 from London's Royal Veterinary College and has worked in large and small animal practices in England and Northern Ireland. She spends much of her time with her two dogs, Tilly (a Springer Spaniel) and Essie (a Border Terrier), and her cat, Jake, and dedicates her life to please their every wish.

Miss Roisin McClenaghan

Veterinary Nurse

Crazy Dog Lady - Roisín has worked in veterinary practices in England and Northern Ireland, and is an experienced horse rider. She can't imagine life without animals. The owner of five doggies , Daisy, Casey, Missy, Scrappy and the infamous Guinness ,Roisín spends her free time gardening, playing football,and walking her dogs

Miss Kelly Armstrong RVN

Veterinary Nurse

Kelly grew up loving animals and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2005 from Greenmount College in Antrim. She has worked in England, Scotland, and the Republic and became known as the Flying Nurse due to all the travelling. She would like to develop her knowledge of animal behaviour and grooming. She's an avid CSI fan, has been to Egypt, Santorini,Australia, and China (and walked part of the Great Wall) and would like to learn salsa dancing. In her spare time she likes to shop, socialise and walk Max, her terrier crossbreed. 

 

 Miss Lisa Harkness

Veterinary Nurse
LIsa is working to complete her veterinary nurse qualification at greenmount college. She has worked in mixed practice in Northern Ireland before coming to Braemar. In her spare time Lisa enjoys riding her horse 'Beauty' and far flung holidays. Her recent holidays incude America and Austrailia. At  home she has a lovely rescue dog 'Harley', the legendary three legged Bordeaux.
 

 Miss Linda Reid

Veterinary Nurse
 
Linda has completed courses in animal care at BIFHA in 2005, and Veterinary care at NRC joining us as her placement practice. She then came to us as a full time nurse after completing this course. Linda's hobbies include holistic therapies and dancing. She has 1 cat, Penny, who Linda couldnt resist after she was brought in to the clinic as a stray.

Miss Lesley Clarke RVN

Veterinary nurse
 
Lesley qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2008 at Greenmount college and has been working in mixed practice in Northern Ireland before coming to Braemar. She has a particular interest in all things feline and loves caring for all the cats in our cattery. Lesley's hobbies include riding, walking her dogs and regular trips to Montana, USA. At home Lesley has 4 cats, Jeremy,Norman,Mavie,and Bella. A guinea pig called Marge, and 2 dogs, Sally and Kya.
 

Mrs Jane Gilmore

Receptionist
 
Jane is our friendly face at reception! Before her move to Braemar she has worked in various management and health and safety posts. Jane is married to Leigh and they have 2 lovely daughters, Connie 7, and Rosie 6. Her hobbies include running and reading.
 

Miss Janine Logan

Receptionist
 
Janine is our Saturday morning receptionist and also works with our out-of-hours emergency service so has plenty of experience dealing with veterinary concerns. In her spare time Janine likes to read a good thriller, and loves to walk her 3 dogs, Cassie,Bo,and Henry the 3 golden retrievers, and their friend Milo the Bouvier des Flandres.
 

Mrs Michelle Murray

The Silent Partner and CEO. While pursuing her own career as a solicitor in Belfast, she's also willing to give a hand in the practice. If she's not helping fill the cattery with kitty toys or answering phones, she just might be playing a round of golf, going for a swim or listening to music.

Mr Ryan Murray

Practice Accountant and Travel Correspondent - When not exploring the world, Ryan maintains the books. Having recently returned from a break in Australia and some time working in London, he enjoys the arts, a good laugh and escaping to sunny climates.
 

Sooty and Sue Murray

Mascots and Practice Patrol - You might catch a glimpse of Sooty or Sue in the upstairs windows or  you might hear Sooty expressing his opinion about this or that, or Sue batting around her toy mouse upstairs. If something needs sorted, Sooty's the first to let us know, and Sue's constant patrol keeps everything in check.
